Executive Assistant, Director Clinical Governance


Temporary full time up to 7 February 2020.

This position is based at Westmead Hospital with some travel to all WSLHD sites required.

The Executive Assistant provides high level support and advice to the Director Clinical Governance and the Clinical Governance team. Primary responsibilities include providing expert and timely support services to the Director Clinical Governance WSLHD on complex and sensitive matters including managing and coordination the preparation of strategic advice, briefings, and correspondence.

Selection criteria:

  1. Demonstrated high level experience in preparing, coordinating and editing complex documents, minutes, reports and strategic advice, including proven ability to draft concise ,clear and accurate material (including under intense time pressures) suitable for consideration by the Minister and Senior Executive

  2. High-level knowledge, skills and experience in government protocols and procedures including inter-government protocols and processes and ability to maintain confidentiality

  3. Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills and extensive experience in negotiation, liaison and conflict resolution including success at building and maintain relationships with all stake holders both internal and external

  4. Demonstrated excellent leadership skills in quality customer service and administration and proven ability to manage a range of programs

  5. Demonstrated ability for self-management, decision-making and the ability to be flexible and accept change

  6. Demonstrated attention to detail including date entry skills and demonstrated ability to minute lengthy and complex meetings in a timely manner with a high level accuracy

  7. Advanced level Microsoft Office Skills, HPE Content Manager, procurement and Web Publishing

Manual handling funding


Manual handling funding is here for 2019/20!

This funding has been made available and we want to make sure that areas of most need receive assistance.

The funding is available for equipment designed to reduce manual handling risks to staff and to improve safety for patients (not including beds or office furniture).

The Risk Management Unit is asking for Expressions of Interest to identify specific departmental needs and can provide assistance with the process where required.
