Eligibility:
This Expression of Interest is open to current casual, temporary and permanent staff of WSLHD.

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centered evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team

Essential criteria:
Registration: Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA)

Selection Criteria:
1. Current unrestricted registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
2. Recent relevant experience working as a Registered Nurse within a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
3. Proven ability to lead a team, problem solve and escalate concerns as needed Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff patients and their families

5. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
6. Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
7. Preferred Current NSW Drivers Licence with a willingness to work across COVID 19 sites as needed.
8. Ability to be flexible with working hours when weather conditions require split shifts.

Eligibility:
This Expression of Interest is open to current casual, temporary and permanent staff of WSLHD.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant for mental health services has a lead role in setting the management, coordination and monitoring framework for client care delivery and improving systems and processes within these defines set of services.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide:
• Clinical support, expert clinical assessment and management of the clients within the mental health service.
• A liaison, consultation and support service for clients, carers, nursing staff, treating teams and allied health staff on complex client health care needs.
• Comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment to clients within the mental health service.
• Ongoing education to staff, nurses, allied health and medical staff at mental health service.
• Ongoing support and counselling services to Clients.
• Integration of patient care across service settings.
• Develop and maintenance of high clinical and professional standards in the provision of patient care and clinical services by his/her participation in quality programs.
• The development and implementation of contemporary models of practice, development and monitoring of staff review within the framework of the Workforce Strategic Plan.

Chair, WSLHD Research Development Committee

The Research Development Committee (RDC) of the Board provides leadership for the development of research and to ensure high quality research is translated into improved clinical care.

The RDC is seeking a Chair with experience in research at a strategic level who can help steer the committee and ensure it achieves its responsibilities, which include:
• To provide strategic leadership for fostering research within the WSLHD.
• To seek assurance on the Local Health District’s implementation of its research strategies and Research Strategic Plan.
• To report to the Board on matters of strategic importance.

The appointment will be for a 12 month period, commencing February 2021.
