Position Summary:


Western Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services is committed to building a professional workforce that supports consumers with a severe and persistent mental illness on their recovery journey.


The primary purpose of this role is to provide person-centred recovery-oriented mental health service incorporating whole person approach and life course approach to people with chronic persistent mental illness and complex psychosocial needs living in Wester Sydney Local Health District Area. As the member of a multidisciplinary team this role is required to perform mental health triage, comprehensive mental health assessment, psychological and family interventions, and ongoing care co-ordination and discharge planning in collaboration with other services such as inpatient units, police, ambulance, government and non-government agencies, etc.


A primary goal of this position is to work collaboratively with staff, consumers and other agencies (both within WSLHD and non-government organisations) to promote the effective participation in mental health treatment and recovery. This may include working on quality improvement and service delivery projects as part of the role.

EOI - Occupational Staff Health Nurse

This role supports the timely provision of Occupational Staff Health Services across WSLHD as part of the Staff Health unit, assisting key stakeholders to meet Ministry of Health requirements for vaccination, immunisation and accreditation.

The role provides clinical, educational and administrative activities in all aspects of Occupational Health Nursing to the employees and volunteers of WSLHD. Staff Health is positioned within the People and Culture Directorate and manages Employee Health Assessment screening.

Staff Health provides staff clinics, mobile vaccination services and ensuring the timely pre-employment screening for recruitment candidates prior to their being given confirmation of their role. Case managing occupational exposures is an important service included in the clinical work of Staff Health as well as supplying vaccination implementation.

Selection Criteria:

1. Immunisation and Vaccination accreditation by Australian College of Nursing or recognised vaccination and immunisation accreditation
2. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and implement new processes through training and education in a clinical setting
3. Demonstrated commitment to practising patient centred care
4. Recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or community health setting, managing direct patient contact and working with a multidisciplinary team
5. Experience in or willingness to undertake training in: Venepuncture, Occupational exposure management, Tuberculosis screening
6. Awareness of workplace wellness programs and experience in involvement with health improvement programs, in addition to nursing interventions

Position Summary:

The District Clinical Coding Manager is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient functions of Clinical Coding Services and the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program to ensure the highest standard of clinical coding accuracy. The District Clinical Coding Manager is actively involved in the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and business processes to ensure that service delivery complies with WSLHD, NSW Health and regulatory requirements. This position is expected to develop and implement systemic workforce changes and continuous improvement activities that ultimately improve and validate the accuracy of coded data for WSLHD.

The position will provide specialist clinical support services that embrace an overall commitment to the WSLHD key strategic priorities to deliver a service which is responsive to all uses of coded data in an activity based management environment.

The position works closely with the Director of Health Informatics to deliver outcomes directly related to organisation strategic goals and priorities.
