Position summary:

The Governance & Executive Support Officer is the first point of contact for the Office of the Executive Director Mental Health and is responsible for providing a high level of confidential and professional administrative services to support the functioning.
The incumbent co-ordinates senior management meetings, correspondence and responses relevant to Mental Health Service in consultation with the Executive Manager and senior management team for Mental Health.

Selection criteria:

 

  1. Demonstrated experience working with the senior executive team and providing governance and executive support, or equivalent experience.

  2. Proven ability to manage controversial or contentious issues confidentiality and with sensitivity.

  3. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to draft concise, clear and accurate material.

  4. Sound knowledge of the legislative and regulative requirements relating to providing governance and executive support.

  5. Proven ability to use initiative and resolve issues of complex nature.

  6. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and to effectively self-manage the day to day workflow and meet deadlines.

  7. Assist with the development and implementation of innovative ways to improve the delivery of service.

  8. Advanced skills in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with using an electronic records management system such as HP records Manager.

The HR Officer is part of a team providing generalist HR advice and consultancy services to a designated Health Facility and/or District wide Directorate. The role will be allocated responsibility for carrying out allocated HR Portfolio or project work and providing administrative and practical human resources support to assist senior HR staff members.

Selection criteria:

  1. Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in HR/Human Capital Management with demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in human resources or related functional areas, with experience in development of reports and/or presentations for senior staff members.

  2. Demonstrated ability to attain a sound understanding of legislative requirements, organisational policy and procedures associated with the management of a contemporary people and culture service area.

  3. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality

  4. Strong customer service focus and high level interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with diverse groups of people.

  5. Effective oral and written communication skills, outstanding attention to detail and demonstrated ability to develop standard correspondence under supervision such as employment correspondence, briefs, reports and submissions.

  6. Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines

  7. Ability to be flexible, adaptable, have good team skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  8. Demonstrated intermediate computing skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to use HRIS and records management systems.

Position summary:


The role of the Patient Experience Officer will be one that is customer focused and passionate about delivering a great customer experience every day.
This position is responsible for enhancing effective patient and carer communication, particularly between the patient, carer and clinical staff.
The focus of the role is improving the experience for patients and to oversee the coordination of patient and carer communication located in the Emergency Department reception area.

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated customer focused service delivery skills.

  • Demonstrated resilience, flexibility and initiative.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to interact well with all Emergency Department Staff.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the ability to work within a team.

  • Sound negotiation skills and the ability to problem solve.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in the use of IT applications including Microsoft Office and data information skills.

Position summary:
The Director of Nursing for Mental Health Services is responsible for the governance of clinical practice and patient care, leadership and management of the Nursing Service to ensure the delivery of high quality patient and family centred care.

Selection criteria:

  1. Extensive experience in leadership and management within a health care setting at a senior management level, with relevant post graduate qualifications in health service management or working towards.

  2. Broad clinical and operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment, including strategic planning and the development/implementation of business operational plans

  3. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead the financial resources and nursing workforce requirements (including profile management) in a complex environment within industrial frameworks and organisational guidelines to provide safe, compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.

  4. Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care within the nursing service.

  5. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy, analytical and conceptual skills.

  6. Comprehensive knowledge of, and commitment to health system safety and quality, risk management, change management, innovation, professional practice development and research.

  7. Proven effective ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff and work successfully with other disciplines in the management of health care services to achieve professional and organisations objectives.
