Temporary Linkway route change at Westmead

27/2/20

Signage will redirect staff, patients and carers through a minor route change during the next stage of Linkway works which started yesterday, Wednesday 26 February.

The Linkway will temporarily run from Westmead Hospital’s University Clinics foyer, then parallel to the 60-metre-long artwork, The River, currently covered by fencing and canvas.

It will then connect back onto the existing Linkway through to Westmead Institute of Medical Research and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The work, involving the removal of temporary hoardings and structures along the Linkway, will take about eight weeks to complete.

The Linkway will be accessible to emergency transfers at all times. Staff in Patient Discharge and Pharmacy will also be able to access clinics, offices and rooms.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience during these works.

Please contact the Westmead Redevelopment team on 1800 990 296 if you have any queries.

Cancer Clinic carpark works

27/2/20

A minor traffic reconfiguration is being made to the carpark in front of Crown Princess Mary Cancer Clinic until Wednesday 11 March.

Two disabled parking spots will be relocated to within the same parking area to necessitate the works involving the installation of a new boomgate, line marking, kerb finishing and a fenceline extension.

Three new five-minute drop-off parking spots just outside the centre’s main entrance will be assigned to assist visitor convenience and traffic flow during this time.

Please follow signage in place to safely assist all carpark users.

Five new parking spots will be opened within the carpark once the three-week works program is complete.

Please contact the Westmead Redevelopment team on 1800 990 296 if you have any queries.
