New process for hosting events

A new process is being introduced across WSLHD for all facility and service events to ensure appropriate approval and planning.

Events with local facility or service relevance, may include, but are not limited to, specialty awareness days such as Donate Life Week, Speech Pathology Week or Dementia Awareness Month, as well as staff BBQs, fundraising events and morning teas or award presentations.

If you are thinking if holding an event, an Event Approval Form must be completed and submitted to your facility General Manager and/or relevant service Director at least a fortnight prior (or sooner) to the event taking place.

Approval is at the discretion of the General Manager or service Director and no event can take place without prior approval.

The Event Approval Form can be accessed via the Corporate Communications intranet page here.

Any intention to invite VIPs (such as politicians) must be included in the form.

Events held off-site

For any event hosted at a location external to WSLHD, a Certificate of Currency (Public Liability Insurance) must also be submitted and can be accessed via WSLHD Risk Management here.

Research, Education or Training events

Events or conferences relating to research, education and/or training do not require an Event Approval Form, but prior approval is required from your direct manager.

For more information, visit the Corporate Communications intranet site or phone (02) 8890 4563.
