Documents overdue for review
WSLHD Executive has made a commitment that WSLHD will have ALL policies & procedures reviewed, updated, implemented or rescinded to comply with the National Quality Standards.
With an upcoming accreditation we are focusing greatly on ensuring the WSLHD Policy & Procedure database is up to date and all documents are current.
If you have been nominated to review an overdue document for review, please follow the below steps:
1. Contact WSLHD-PolicyAndProcedure@health.nsw.gov.au to request the latest word version of the document. This is important to ensure the correct template/version is being reviewed.
2. Make required amendments along with appropriate consultation which must be recorded on the consultation/authorisation form. Templates can be found here.
3.. When the review is complete submit the amended document and the completed consultation/authorisation form to WSLHD-PP&GCommittee@health.nsw.gov.au (if a WSLHD document) or to your local P&P committee if facility based.
If a WSLHD document is no longer required, please email WSLHD-PolicyAndProcedure@health.nsw.gov.au with a detailed justification along with Department head approval.
If a facility based document is no longer required, please email your local P&P committee with a justification and they will instruct you on the next steps required.
