Position summary


The Director Clinical Operations reports to the General Manager Integrated and Community Health and has overall management responsibility for the community based clinical services. The position will be required to work with a range of stakeholders across the Local Health District, the Ministry of Health, Western Sydney Primary Health Network and other Government and non-Government agencies.

The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for priority setting, strategic direction and leadership to meet the health needs of the priority patient cohorts and community via an effective and efficient clinical service delivery system.

The Director of Clinical Operations will need to ensure that all clinical services under the Directorate are strategically aligned with the priorities of WSLHD.

EOI - Clinical Governance Admin Officer Westmead Hospital

The Clinical Governance Administration Officer provides high level, comprehensive administrative support to the WSLHD Clinical Governance team and others as directed within a busy, complex, confidential and sensitive environment ensuring efficient and effective operations.

Selection criteria:

 

  1. Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to prepare and review complex correspondence within a senior executive environment.

  2. Demonstrated comprehensive experience in providing high level administrative assistance and support to high functioning teams and proven capacity to operate effectively in a complex environment demanding confidentiality, flexibility and discernment.

  3. Proven high level organisation skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines, supported by a demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative and judgement.

  4. Demonstrated ability in independently and effectively managing the diaries of a busy leadership team and competently and confidently make appropriate decisions and respond to issues on their behalf.

  5. Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, interpret complex information and advice and use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.

  6. Ability to foresee and carry out duties of the position independently and conscientiously working to team goals and values.

  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to exercise sound judgement in challenging or difficult situations.

  8. Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite of office products and ability to effectively utilise an electronic document management system such as HPRM.

Position summary


WSLHD Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) provide recovery oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration. The Administrative Officer Level 5 role supports the Admin Team to manage front desk reception, works closely with the Team Leaders of CMHS, coordinates various meetings and takes minutes and provides other supportive roles to the CMHS.
