This Expression of Interest is open to current casual, temporary and permanent staff of WSLHD.

Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide person – centred, recovery oriented and trauma informed mental health service incorporating whole person approach and life course approach to people with chronic persistent mental illness and complex psycho social needs.
This position is based in the sub-acute/non-sub-acute/non-acute mental health inpatient unit and works within a multidisciplinary team and is responsible to provide comprehensive assessment and interventions related to patient's social, financial and family circumstances. Complex discharge planning service, patient advocacy and Inpatient Psycho education programs are a component of the role. This position is to plan, coordinate and deliver high quality mental health inpatient social work service to consumers consistent with Western Sydney Local Health District policies procedure and standard.
A primary goal of this position is to work collaboratively with staff, consumers and other agencies (both within WSLHD and non-Government organisations) to promote effective participation in mental health treatment and recovery. This may include working on quality improvement and service delivery projects as part of the role.
