Eligibility: 

This Expression of Interest is open to current casual, temporary and permanent staff of WSLHD.

 

Position Summary:

Contribute to the overall clinical, managerial and operational leadership of Social Work services across WSLHD with responsibility for the day-to-day operations and the management of Social Work and Aboriginal Liaison Officers within the social work and Aboriginal Liaison Officer cost codes alongside professional responsibility for all Social Work and welfare officer staff.

 

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Proven ability to lead, develop, coordinate and evaluate Social Work services across multiple sites. This will include a demonstrated ability in strategic clinical planning and the provision of a patient focused, comprehensive, high quality and cost effective clinical service.

  2. Demonstrated excellent communication skills, initiative, time management and commitment to clinical team building.

  3. Demonstrated ability to implement and improve patient safety, patient flow, continuum of care, and waiting times for treatment.

  4. Demonstrated effective management of human and financial resources.

  5. Understanding of Social Work clinical and workforce planning issues.

  6. Experience and commitment to teaching, research and staff training

Eligibility:
This Expression of Interest is open to current casual, temporary and permanent staff of WSLHD.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 works within BMDH Surgery and Anaesthetics, in collaboration with the inpatient outpatient/community nursing teams and primary health care providers in determining, implementing and evaluating the service. Including mentorship and support to Mount Druitt hospital to achieve a coordinated service.

The CNC provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty through the delivery of specialist consultant service.

Selection Criteria:
1. A registered nurse with 5 years full time equivalent post registration nursing/midwifery experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
2. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with demonstrated networks and partnerships with multiple / key stakeholders.
3. Demonstrated experience in practice development and change management.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and provide clinical education and conduct research.
5. Demonstrated experience in the development and application of evidence based innovative practice, policy and procedure and clinical quality improvement strategies.
6. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary team environment.
7. Demonstrated ability to critically think, prioritise competing demands, make decisions independently but also work effectively as team member.
8. Current NSW driver's license
