Planned maintenance - upgrade to Citrix Receiver Client

At WSLHD, FASS & Pathology, various clinical and corporate applications incl. eMR, eRIC and iPM run on Citrix.

Our current Citrix Receiver version is End of Life (EOL), necessitating an upgrade to the Citrix client on all PCs, laptops and WOWs across the organisation. The upgrade will ensure continued functionality and support for the application.

The upgrade will be rolled out across the organisations in a phased approach between Monday, 14 September 2020 and Monday, 7 December 2020, according to the schedule below. Further communications will be sent to each department/organisation prior to the upgrade being rolled out to their area.

Migration of QAM databases

What is impacted?
Statewide Email Archive (Quest Archive Manager);

Who is impacted?
User archives located on QAM05 and QAM06 (approximately 50k users) in Statewide Email Archive.

What is the impact to end users?
Users whose archives exist on the affected databases will be unable to login to the email archive.

Duration of outage:
Start: Monday, 28 September, at 11:00am
End: Monday, 28 September, at 11:00pm

Further details of the outage:
• This outage will affect approximately 25% of all archive users.
• All user archives located on QAM05 and QAM06 databases will be inaccessible.
• This will affect delegated access to the archives as well during the outage.
• User’s whose archive exist on non-affected databases will be able to login and access their own archive, however not the archives of others’ if those delegated archives are on the QAM05 and QAM06 databases.

Taleo (part of Recruitment and Onboarding (ROB) maintenance

What is impacted?
ROB Recruiting Centre and Career Sections for Candidate Applications (Taleo products).

Who is impacted?
All users of ROB – Recruiting Centre and Candidate Applications (Taleo) in all LHD’s and Health Agencies.

How does it affect you?
During the maintenance performed by our vendor, ROB Recruiting Centre and Career Sections (Applications) will not be available to end users.

Duration of disruption of service
Maintenance Start: Thursday 24 September, at 11:00pm
Maintenance Finish: Friday 25 September, at 3:00am

Details of outage
Taleo is a cloud-based system that is managed by the vendor, Oracle and is used as part of our Recruitment and Onboarding (ROB) system. Our vendor will perform an update to Taleo during the maintenance period.

ims Application emergency maintenance and planned outage

What is impacted?
ims+ (Incident Management System)

Who is impacted?
WSLHD, MLHD, NBMLHD, ISLHD, NSLHD, SWSLHD, WNSWLHD, SCHN, NSW Ambulance, CCLHD, JHFMHN, SESLHD, SNSWLHD, FWLHD, HSNSW, Patient Transport Service (PTS), NSW Pathology, FASS, CEC, HETI, HSSG, CI, ACI, MHC, BHI, eHealth, MoH.

What is the impact to end users?
Users will be not be able access ims+ application during this maintenance.

Duration of outage:
Start: Saturday 19 September, at 10:00pm
End: Sunday 20 September, at 2:00am

Further details of the outage:
ims+ (Incident Management System) will undertake an urgent infrastructure upgrade (requested by the vendor) to increase throughput (disk I/O) of ims+ application which will improve stability and avoid performance degradation. This is essential and urgent maintenance activity that needs to be performed to avoid significant outage. Users are advised to follow local business process or use the ‘Incident Notification Downtime Form’ to record incidents during this outage period, which can subsequently be entered into ims+.
