University of Sydney Multidisciplinary Student Showcase 6 November


Want to know more about the University of Sydney's activity at Westmead? Interested in our Westmead campus student projects?

Join us at the Westmead Multidisciplinary Student Showcase next Wednesday 6 November to discover innovative student projects and prototypes for solving real-world health problems.

In 2019, the University has hosted over 200 design and engineering students at our Westmead campus. Students have collaborated with Westmead clinicians, researchers and health professionals to develop unique multidisciplinary projects like:


  • Strawberry: discreet STI testing kit developed by Design and Medical Science students

  • PetiteBeat: pillow with sensors to aid parent-child bonding during pregnancy

  • At-home exercise rehabilitation device collaboration with Allied Health
