Influenza Vaccinations 2020
Influenza vaccinations will be available by April 14. Full clinic timetables will be available on the Staff Health Intranet Page. If you require the flu vaccination prior to this time, please see your GP or local pharmacy and forward the vaccination record to WSLHD-StaffHealth@health.nsw.gov.au.
Mobile influenza vaccination clinics will occur across the district, adhering to NSW Health infection prevention and control advice, as well as principles of social distancing, as staff health and wellbeing is our utmost priority.

The annual Influenza vaccination is provided free for all workers employed in Category A, Category A High Risk and Category B positions. Under the policy PD2018_009 it is mandatory for those staff working in Category A High-Risk positions as below:
High-risk clinical areas
1. Antenatal, perinatal and post-natal areas including labour wards and recovery rooms and antenatal outreach programs
2. Neonatal intensive care units; special care units; any home visiting health service provided to neonates
3. Pediatric intensive care units
4. Transplant and oncology wards
5. Intensive care units; High Dependency units
All staff working outside of these areas are still recommended to have the flu vaccine.
There is also an Influenza vaccine available for staff who are 65 years plus which gives increased protection.
Please bring your Medicare card, completed consent form (Available via Staff Health Intranet Page) and mobile to take a photo of vaccination evidence.
